The Quilt Bees Shop has been around since 2000 operating out of a retail shop in Sunshine Plaza (Singapore) where classes/tutorials were only conducted on Friday afternoons for a very special group of “students”.  The instructor, Christina Ong, owner of The Quilt Bees Shop is also a full-time career person who initially chanced upon this hobby to “de-stress” ultimately decided that it would be interesting to have a group of like-minded people gathered together in an afternoon to decide on projects for their loved ones by stitching pieces of coloured fabric together.  In the process much time would be devoted to choosing the colour and pattern for the projects amongst the chatter and laughter… what a splendid way to wind down on a Friday afternoon…. Well this is how The Quilt Bees Shop is founded – social space for women to gather and gossip while they simultaneously expressed their artistic capabilities!!

Over the years, The Quilt Bees Shop has sewn/stitched many bespoke quilts together with their “quilt bees” using lovely fabrics passionately chosen by Christina during her “merchandising” trips around the world.  Many of these fabrics are now available on this website…

The Quilt Bees Shop hopes to further promote this hobby of quilting to both the young and old all over the world and bring joy to all its customers and “quilt bees” in providing a wide variety of colours and artistically printed fabric and completed quilts and in organising bespoke classes/workshops ….
